Prior to joining Jackson Davis LLP, Karin Riley Porter served for nine years as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Denver, CO, handling cases ranging from DUIs to serious violent felonies. She has litigated thousands of cases during her career and is an aggressive and creative defense attorney. Due to her prior experience, Karin has an understanding of how law enforcement agents conduct criminal investigations, and how prosecutors build and prepare their cases for trial.  Karin now uses her years of investigative and litigation experience  to build  strong defense strategies for her clients.

Education

After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Karin went on to receive her law degree, with honors, from the George Mason University School of Law. Following her graduation from law school, Karin was a clerk for a judge in Fairfax County Circuit Court.
